6 METER CLASS – JANE ANN CUSTOM KEEL PROJECT
The 6 Metre class, established in 1907, remains a widely respected and popular racing class worldwide. CSC Composites quickly produced a new keel fin and bulb for the Jane Ann yacht, which was set to compete in the 2018 6 Metre Class World Championship.
The keel featured a complex structure, with a trim tab on the fin and a fixed wing on the bulb. During production and assembly, various materials such as composites, different steel types, aluminum bronze, and polymers were used. After final assembly, the keel was exported to Switzerland.
